Alumni Benefits and Perks

Once you graduate from the University of Saskatchewan, you automatically become a member of the Univerisity of Saskatchewan Alumni Association and are eligible for alumni benefits offered by our preferred partners.

Associate and Honourary members of the USask Alumni Association, as well as USask retired staff and faculty are also eligible.

From time to time we will email or mail special offers and information regarding alumni benefits and perks to alumni. The alumni office oversees the distribution of these offers which are handled through the services of a contracted mailing house or in-house. Your personal information remains confidential and is never released to any of our affinity partners. Just like we protect the privacy of our alumni by never releasing contact information directly to our affinity partners, our affinity partners also protect their clients’ privacy. They will share aggregate data to help us monitor their program but they do not share client information with us.

Alumni benefits and perks are mainly accessed by passcode, which you will find on the Alumni Benefits website. Some providers may ask you for your name, contact information, college, degree and graduation year and will contact the alumni office to confirm your alumni status instead of using passcodes.

Important: If you have changed your name or contact information, please be sure to provide the alumni office with your new information so we can locate your record to confirm your alumni status. If your name has changed since you were a student, please contact the alumni office directly at (306) 966-5186, toll-free at 1-800-699-1907, or email alumni.office@usask.ca to update this information. 

The Alumni Benefits Program was established to provide USask alumni access to products and services at competitive group rates. By utilizing the collective buying power of the alumni community, the university is able to negotiate exclusive alumni pricing for group travel, insurance and financial services, and a variety of retail discounts. 

Throughout the year, Alumni Relations receives proposals from service providers offering benefits or perks programs for alumni. All of these requests are evaluated based on a defined set of program principles. Affinity programs must align with institutional and fundraising priorities while fostering goodwill for the University. They must be relevant, accessible, exclusive, and offer special savings or privileged access. Service providers must demonstrate exceptional reputational standing, and must uphold high standards of integrity, value, and customer service. Those that meet these standards are incorporated into the alumni benefits program.

Along with providing alumni special offers, group rates and privileged access, our benefits partners contribute a portion of their program revenue to the university. These contributions allow the alumni office to fund and enhance programs and events for USask alumni and donors. Some partners also extend their support by sponsoring university-wide initiatives and donating to scholarships for children of alumni.
