Lisa Broda named Saskatchewan's new children's advocate

Lisa Broda, who is currently serving as Saskatchewan's deputy advocate for children and youth, has been appointed as Saskatchewan's advocate for children and youth, the province announced Monday.

Saskatchewan didn’t need to look far to find its new children’s advocate, as reported by the Saskatoon StarPhoenix.

Lisa Broda (BA'96, MA'03, PhD'17), who is currently serving as the province’s deputy advocate for children and youth, has been appointed as Saskatchewan’s advocate for children and youth, the provincial government announced Monday. She took office on Monday.

Speaker Mark Docherty, who announced the appointment in the Legislative Assembly, said Broda “is highly accomplished and I look forward to working with her in the role of advocate for children and youth.”
