Two U of S Alumni Battle for CFL Award

Scott Flory (BE '99) of the Montreal Alouettes beat out fellow alumnus Gene Makowsky (BEd '97) to be named the Canadian Football League's (CFL) Outstanding Lineman.

Flory played with the Huskies from 1995 to 1998. In the 1998 CFL College Draft Flory was drafted 15th overall by the Montreal Alouettes, where he has played all ten years of his CFL Career. He is a five-time CFL all-star and a four-time nominee for the Outstanding Lineman award.
Makowsky won the award in 2004 and 2005.
