U of S Alumni Association Unveils New Logo

The development of this logo was a response by the Alumni Association to more clearly align its visual identity with the University's.
In 2005, the U of S adopted a new logo, one that no longer sported the familiar circle and featured more prominently the University shield. At that time, the Alumni Association's logo still featured the University's circular logo, and the Association's Board of Directors felt that it was important that the Alumni Association's visual identity remain a contemporary reflection of the strong connection between itself and the University.

In 2007, the Alumni Association's Communications Committee recommended that the Board adopt a more streamlined logo---one that celebrates the Alumni Association's strong connection to the University by incorporating prominently the heraldic shield, while emphasizing the Alumni Association's unique and distinctive identity. With the assistance of University Communications, the design of the Alumni Association's new logo was agreed upon in the spring of 2008.
