Dr. Dosman—considered the "Father of Agricultural Medicine" in Canada—has worked at the University of Saskatchewan in various capacities since 1975 and currently sits as a distinguished research chair in agricultural medicine at the Canadian Centre for Health and Safety in Agriculture (of which he is the founding director) as well as the acting CEO of Agrivita Canada Inc.
The Agricultural Health and Safety Network in Saskatchewan, a farm safety and rural health municipal based grass-roots knowledge translation organization, was established by Dr. Dosman and a group of his colleagues.
The Order of Canada is one of our country's highest civilian honours to recognize a lifetime of outstanding achievement, dedication to community and service to the nation. Dosman is one of 12 people recently named Officers of the Order of Canada; 42 others were named Members.
