The designation is awarded each year to influential community members and philanthropists at the Association of Fundraising Professionals luncheon, a gathering of over 400 donors, fundraisers and volunteers in Saskatoon. The Dubé’s were selected for the special honour for their inspiring example of charitable leadership in the province through their ongoing commitment to the University of Saskatchewan.

St. Thomas More College and the entire university have been transformed through the Dubé's sharing of their wealth, and recent donations to the Health Sciences project and a Chair in Catholic Studies will enhance the campus experience for generations to come. The Dubés support of health, education, religion, and poverty initiatives in the past decade have exceeded $20 million and enriched lives at home and internationally.
